Day 10 of the LoveDare: do something unexpected for your spouse.
Michael was on a "work" fishing trip on Monday. He calls and says, "you are going to be excited. I am going to get you something that is the best of its kind."
I went strawberry picking on Monday. The strawberry farm also had a farmer's/meat market. I tell michael, "I think you are going to be really excited about what I got you today - and it isn't just strawberries."
Michael comes home and gives me three paper wrapped tubes of turkey jerky. I, in exchange, hand him a 16 inch long tube of summer sausage. Apparently, the salted-cured meat is our love language. Now we have a freezer and refrigerator full of fish, strawberries and salted meat. Let me know if you need any.
By the way, I do so love your comments. thanks for leaving them or emailing them to me - all 11 of you.
Ha! Love it! Made me laugh out loud, Erin, you and Michael's shared love.
ReplyDeleteThere's something kind of "gift of the magi" about your gift exchange. I like it. Maybe "gift of the meats"?
