of course i forgot to take a picture of it. BUT, if you are in need of 2 dozen good cupcakes. i can for sure recommend these from the February issue of Southern Living. even michael, the "why would you make anything other than a box-cake" man agreed that they were good.
the recipe is a bit confusing looking on the website and there is no photo, but they are easy.
As shown, you can make them bite size and in all kinds of variations of flavors, but the men of my house just like "banilla," and i don't have tons of mini muffin tins, so i haven't tried the variations. Use the Vanilla Buttercream recipe with it, it is delicious. Like...lick the icing off of the top of the cupcake and throw the rest away because you have 23 other cupcakes, good.
Mmmmm, good to know. Maybe we will make these for Va's birthday dinner on Saturday night! Thanks for the darling skirt! I think she really likes it. Her father will think it is too short.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the recipe and saw that it has sour cream in it. I am now a believer that any breakfast baked good is always better if includes sour cream or buttermilk in it. I am going to try the Pioneer Woman pancakes that Smitten Kitchen put on her site sometime this week. Kelly
ReplyDeleteupdate on the skirt -- Gi wore it today and it was completely adorable on her. She will send a thank you note within the week. You deserve a medal or a gift certificate for writing m's op ed piece for Linbeck. TORTURE indeed.
