my sweet husband rarely makes food requests, because I believe he would rather me make simple meals and decrease the amount of chaos i invoke when i break open my cookbooks.
all that to say, that when he has a request, i try to listen. One of his few requests, as I was making sandwiches for our sweltering hot picnic, was a sandwich he had recently tried at the Mucky Duck. it was a Texas BLT.
He said it was so good, i thought i should share:
good bread (i used white Pepperidge Farm sandwich bread)
mayo
avocado
lettuce
tomato
bacon (of course)
and some jalapeno slices
ta da, your man is happy. and all you have to do is make some bacon.
Oh my goodness that sounds perfect. I am going to make one, but not for anyone in the house but me b/c I am the only one who will touch mayo, tomatoes and avocados and jalapenos. They are missing out, no?
