our present, our future

forgive my lack of writing.  i hope to improve in the future.

here is the house we are leaving.  officially on the market as of yesterday.

i think that in my next life i am going to be a realtor, just so i can write the descriptions of the homes.

here is the home we are moving to.  it is quirky,  but i see it as a huge blessing.

if you should decide to pray for our transition, i would feel grateful.  saying goodbye to houston is so terribly hard.  i cry at almost anything these days.  i even teared up at the library when i realized i didn't need to do the extended checkout because i won't be here on Sept. 1st.  boo.

  1. Well. I don't like that you didn't need extended check out. Not one bit. Plus, they try to make you do the self check-out then, which never works correctly and I end up back at the desk anyway, sheepishly asking for help.

I like the new house, especially the entire second floor is master suite (sweet!) and huge unfinished basement parts.

A year is not very long. As we read in Miss Rumphius just tonight, "In the meantime Alice got up and washed her face and ate porridge for breakfast. She went to school and came home and did her homework.
And pretty soon she was grown up."

Perhaps we can make a quick trip to visit Lois the stinky flower at the museum before you go?

  4. Where is all your furniture??? The living room looks sort of forlorn with just the chair and bookshelf. The house looks great, though. I hope you sell it QUICK!
