I am still a Kansan, but...

If you live in Texas long enough, eventually you will have such thoughts as:

"Should i have my own gun?"

"Why don't more people say y'all?"

"When does the rodeo start?"

"Salsa should always be served warm."

"I wish i could remember the lyrics to 'Deep in the Heart of Texas.'  It sure is catchy."

"Big cars and trucks do come in handy."

"No state income tax...beautiful."

"Shiner is good."

"Humidity feels good on your skin."

Texas friends: did i miss any?

  1. You are SO right . . . all of these things start to infiltrate your brain . . .Only one you left out that I could think of was that the friendliest people really do live in Texas!

  2. All I can think of is Lyle's Lovett's line: "That's right you're not from Texas, but Texas wants you anyway!"

  3. I would add, "Everything IS bigger in Texas." (which I personally abhor).
